PRIVACY POLICY
Your information, in plain language.
Last updated: October 11, 2026
Bar M Data Lab runs barmdatalab.com. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only what you choose to send us, we don't track you, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone.
What we collect
When you contact us
If you use the contact form (including the "Request early access" and "Ask to be added to the list" links, which open the same form), we receive what you enter: your name, your email address, your company if you give it, and your message. The form is delivered to our inbox at hello@barmdatalab.com through our email delivery provider, Resend. Messages aren't stored on our web server. We keep them in our email as long as we need them to reply and follow up, and we use them only to carry on the conversation you started.
When you book a call
If you use a "Book a 20-minute call" link, you'll schedule through Google Calendar's booking page. Google receives the name, email address, and any notes you enter, and the appointment is added to our calendar. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy.
When you visit
Like nearly every website, our server automatically records basic technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working, and we delete them after 30 days.
When you ask for a guide or join The Roundup
We receive your first name, your email address, which guide you asked for, and whether you'd like The Roundup, our monthly newsletter. Our server passes these straight to our email service, MailerLite, and doesn't keep a copy. We don't send MailerLite your IP address.
For a guide, the download link appears on our site as soon as you submit the form. MailerLite also sends you one email asking you to confirm your address. Nothing else is sent until you confirm. When you confirm, MailerLite records that you did and when, as proof of your permission. Then it emails you a copy of the guide, and the monthly newsletter only if you ticked that box.
When you download our media kit
The media kit downloads directly. We don't ask for your name or email to download it.
What we don't do
- We don't use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.
- We don't load third-party trackers or social media widgets. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so visiting the site doesn't send your information to font providers.
- We don't sell, rent, or trade your information.
Our email list
Our email list is managed by MailerLite. We email you only with your permission: the guide you asked for, a short series of follow-up notes about using it, and The Roundup, our monthly newsletter, if you chose it. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time. We've turned off open tracking, so we don't record whether you open our emails. MailerLite may count clicks on links in our emails; we look only at totals, to learn which guides and ideas are useful, and never sell or share them.
MailerLite stores your name, email address, which lists you're on, and the record of your confirmation, under its own privacy policy. We keep you on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
Who else sees your information
Only the service providers we need to run the site and handle your messages: our web host (DigitalOcean), our email provider (Google Workspace), our email delivery provider (Resend), our email list service (MailerLite) if you ask for a guide or the newsletter, and Google Calendar if you book a call. They receive your information only to provide those services. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@barmdatalab.com and we'll respond promptly.
Children
This site is intended for adults and businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, for example if we add analytics, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
